Hey guys. I am just checking in to see who might still be lurking
around from the early 2000's.

I have gone by a few names here, but York is who I would best be
remembered as.

I don't currently keep any herps due to me living situation. but I
have my eye on some for when I move. How are you guys holding up?

I currently still have my ornate box turtle and three-toed box turtle (25+
years now), 1.0 San Diego banded gecko, 0.1 Mediterranean gecko, and 3.2
Texas banded geckos.

Hey Chris!

I saw that you were still about when I looked through a few threads.
You are like the backbone of this group...lol

I remember the old days with fr0glet, and Chaosmage with her cricket
mafia. FLstateGuy, zetekitoxin, Jules, ect. I could go one and on. I
guess the net has grown much bigger since those days. old USNET isn't
what it once was.

Thanks for posting Chris!

Hi Jules! You remember me? I don't recall if I was Cindy or cinshep
back then. I looked at your site -- your girlfriend is pretty! I like
your turtle pond.

Hi York,
I just re-subscribed also. I remember you and all those guys.

I'm still living in Texas. My 22-year-old red tail boa died recently and
I replaced her with a really pretty male hypo boa. That and two
blue-tongued skinks are all the herps I have left.

The reason I'm back is because my daughter's boyfriend wants to sell his
rainbow boa. Anyone here from the Houston area that might be interested?

I don't know about the rest, but I talk to Chaosmage on myspace. :) We
ran into each other by accident. She's still writing, but her ig died
and she has no herps right now, only fuzzies.

A VERY few of us "old" folks are still around. I think Jules still posts
occasionally (I talked to him on the phone maybe a year ago?). Ulrik Smed
is still present from time to time too.

Yeah, I'm still around too, but yes, there's really not much life left here.
Hmm, wasn't it the iguana mafia? LOL!

I've got a new monitor recently, btw. A lovely male albig. About 4 feet and
3 years. And really playful and entertaining, took this video of him playing
with my arm, almost trying to mate with it, haha. Just love him!

Ah yes, my bad. The crix were the bad guys, as I recall. It's been so
long... :p

Your monitor looks great. Seems to think your arm was a hot date... :p

I think there are so many other forums available now (compared to 10+ years
ago) that this Usenet group has gone "out of style." I read a couple of
species/genus-specific forums but check this group frequently to see who's
still around.

I still read this group, I just don't find many reasons to post.
